1936 11 ST SW, Calgary, Alberta

I just finished uploading this House for sale, 1936 11 ST SW, Calgary, Alberta

Built in 1911 this Upper Mount Royal character home was originally the residence of Justice W. MacDonald who was appointed to the Supreme Court by Federal Minister of Justice (later PM), Louis St-Laurent. This charming home features a sweeping front veranda, four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, extensive hardwood flooring, original "arts and crafts" trim and has been meticulously maintained. The bright kitchen which includes heated slate flooring, butcher block island, honed slate countertops and high end appliances, opens up through french doors to a large cedar deck with an adjoining hot tub and a full size outdoor fireplace that is flanked by two brick patios. While situated on a beautifully treed and quiet street, shops, bars and restaurants are mere steps away, reflecting the high degree of walkability this great location enjoys. During warmer weather, the downtown core is a pleasant 30 minute walk. Over it's 106 year history, this home has only been owned by two families.
